On the other hand, if people get something going for a more permanent 
home, having to wait for 3 months to show the host facility that we're 
making use of what we requested seems a bit long.

I agree one venue per month is a bad thing, and that confirming 
Victoria for those months, with the understanding that we'll back out 
if we can (Feb? Mar?), would be a good thing.

I agree a confirmed change for Jan. seems unlikely - it takes time to 
effect new arrangements, have the group agree it's a good arrangement, 
and post the details sufficiently in advance.

To that end, concluding any discussions surrounding my prior post 
("Desired Meeting Location Characteristics") sooner rather than later 
would be useful so that we and they (whomever they, the meeting 
facility, is) come to a meeting of the minds quickly.

	Do we assume my post should be taken as given unless and until 
discussion surrounds it, with a closing date of, say, Dec. 31st?

This seems premature - or have you been there and you believe we'll 
definitely need one?

Is there not / does anyone know of some cobbled together computer 
component collective solution that works for a typical meeting? 
Presumably involving sound cards, laptops, bluetooth lapel/ head sets 
(for a microphone), computer speakers, and so on? That would seque 
into meeting streaming / recording should we ever get that far? e.g. A 
camcorder view of the presenter on one side of the screen (i.e. video 
feed in) and their slides on the other half? Is there a FOSS 
'solution' individuals could experience then leverage in their own 
meetings - if only around a boardroom table?
