Here is my view on this matter.

1. It is fine to forward jobs from whomever to the list, as long as it is
relevant (e.g. Linux, open source, ...etc.) and not spammy (excessive,
aggressive, frequent, irrelevant, ...etc.).

2. If the LUG becomes known as a pool of talent around Linux and open
source, then that is a plus for the LUG. If that means they are targeted by
recruiters then so be it (as long as it is relevant and not spam).

3. If local companies that use, create or promote open source want to donate
to the LUG then it can go to the FLOSS fund, in the absence of a legal
structure behind the LUG itself. It has to be with no strings attached
(perhaps a thank you in acknowledgment, and that is it). They can't dictate
what we do, they can't ask for ad space, ...etc.

If we have a legal structure that can take money in the future, then we can
revisit #3.

We had to struggle with the same issues at the Drupal Association, although
our needs are different (money is donated by members, and raised at events,
and helps towards future events, e.g. conferences, as well as promotion of
the project and the hosting infrastructure for Drupal). We don't have these
needs for the LUG yet. So let us cross this bridge when/if we get there.

In the meantime, one or two relevant job posts a week is something we can
all live with, considering the benefits to members and the LUG itself.
