A long time ago, in a previous post on this thread, I mentioned that bzr
seems to have more momentum than git, based on anecdotal evidence.

Now, it seems that git is getting more steam and more adoption, perhaps
github and other public repositories making it more popular.

There is a discussion on the need for Drupal to move off CVS to something
else, which is a DVCS in this day and age.

Seems that Git is the top contender so far, neck to neck with bzr.

and the specific challenges (most of which have to do with integration
with Drupal's project module, not a concern for others really).
