My .ca domain is purchased through http://lowcostdomains.ca/ I've been using
them for years without a problem.  At the time I purchased they were the
cheapest .ca registrar I could find.   However it appears that
domainstatcost.ca is a little cheaper now.

ah well too bad domain transfers are such a pain in the ass.
