I say: If no-one joins, then no-one joins, if it is unsuccessful it is. Period. Sometimes arguing if something is going to work or not is more effort than actually doing it and seeing if it works. If it works, great! but (prepare for cliche) "You'll always going to miss 100% of the shoots you
don't take".

I have my doubts about the benefit of a separate list but I don't voice them because:
- I'd be just guessing and my guess is as good as the opposite guesses
- I am not maintaining that mailing list

Someone had the idea, someone volunteered to implement it. That's what really matters.
