There's something about multiple presentations that make the evening a
lot more dynamic.

Same coin, different side :-) I can't speak for everyone, but I'm a
presentation omnivore. I liked them all, although I'm more inclined to
make more use of some things than others.

Why not aim for most nights? Make it like a traditional movie night: A
Newsreel, a Short, the Feature Presentation and the Serial ("See the
Two-Headed Terminal! Can Richard tell us the best GUI to use? Will Paul
vanquish multiple consoles? Join us next month for our continuing story
on backups!")

Mingling between presentations. Do we need to be off the premises at
precisely 9:00pm?

Since we're in a kitchen facility, what are the chances for brewing an
urn of coffee? While the next presenter is setting up the audience can
grabba cuppa joe and mingle. HCUG used to rent an urn, and at something
like 50 cents a cup never lost money. Surplus can go into the FLOSS Fund.
