ASP and FrontPage extensions are Microsoft technologies, and I
personally don't think it's worth trying to migrate an old, legacy ASP
site over to Linux if you just want it to keep working.  Best to keep
them on Windows.

Does it make sense (money-wise, I guess) to simply install this
omnimailer thing on a separate Linux host?  Or a VM?

And yeah, I wouldn't want to put a customer database naked on the
Internet.  Keep it hidden behind whatever service needs that data.
