I have not noticed so far that my current phone is 1.9GHz. It is DECT. The
predecessor (a few months ago) had its batteries die, and it was more
expensive to replace them on all 3 handsets rather that buying a new one.
This means I *can* use 5GHz if I need it.

Mine is just a normal phone with an answering machine. No color stuff, no
VoIP, ...etc.
