for the sake of doing embedded work when i want to wire up some
basic dev kits to the net but don't have immediate access to the
router, i'm looking for a decent wireless ethernet bridge. i'm
assuming something like this is what i'm after, correct?

weirdly, when i asked a couple salesweasels at local shops, they
looked at me blankly, not sure if such things even *existed* after i
explained their hypothetical function.

am i misunderstanding something here? it seems straightforward what
i'm after -- some tabletop wired ethernet ports, which provide net
connectivity via a wireless router in the vicinity. thoughts?
