Just to add even more corroborating evidence, ;-), I'm working for a
computer security company during the summer for my final co-op
work term while at UW: Symantec Hosted Services aka MessageLabs.
Our business is scanning email looking for spam/viruses, and I have
not heard a peep about anything new and widespread like that, so
you can tell your friend that you heard *directly* ( :P :P :P ) from
Symantec that everything is no worse than usual!
