I didn't see him confused, just stating the party line that "They are protecting 
the intellectual property of the creator".

He does not need to go into all the details of how that affects the rights of 
the consumer or the culture in general. That wouldn't make a good sound bite.

The issue with the "Playbook tax" is that people are attempting to speak on 
behalf of RIM, on both sides of the debate. If RIM hasn't made their position 
clear, then people shouldn't use them as an example.

RIM made their position clear on the Nortel issue, so it can clearly be used as 
an example there.
