[kwlug-disc] Blackberry USB mode with Ubuntu?

It looks like the Max power is 500mA. According to this post

9780 no longer supports turning on and off the mode on the phone (done
through software I guess). I thought maybe pulling the battery, flash and
sim card might trigger the prompt (on the phone) again, but no luck.
However when I plugged the BB into my wife's Ubuntu machine the phone
prompted me for the mode, so I'm convinced I just need to find some file
and delete/change it on my box. Going to try logging in as a different user
and attempting to connect.
