[kwlug-disc] Drupal issue my Google-Fu is not strong enough to answer apparently

Ok this is what appears in my access log when I try to browse to
http://localhost.  I tried it twice, once before and once after
clearing my browser cache

127.0.0.1 - - [11/Jul/2011:18:40:46 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 304 212
"-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0"
127.0.0.1 - - [11/Jul/2011:18:42:45 -0400] "GET / HTTP/1.1" 200 689
"-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/5.0"

The 304 code I believe indicates that the page was already cached, and
after clearing I get a 200, which should mean a successful access.  If
I go to http://localhost/index.php, I get the page as expected and the
first of many entries in access.log is:

127.0.0.1 - - [11/Jul/2011:18:47:20 -0400] "GET /index.php HTTP/1.1"
200 4262 "-" "Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686; rv:5.0) Gecko/20100101
Firefox/5.0"

error.log is not showing anything since the restart of apache.
