Seems to me I heard of a Canadian jury member, some long time ago, 
being (successfully?) charged with obstruction of justice for failing 
to adhere to precedence in their vote.

(Sort of) Side note - AFAIK, U.S. juries aren't bound to vote in any 
particular way, law or no law. Canadian juries must follow the law / 
precedence.
- not to take away from Chris or Brent's more refined comments, the 
above is just my general impression. (Now refined by their comments.)
