I am talking about the HP OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus, which is not cheap, but
very convenient since it has an internal duplexer for double sided printing
and scanning. Also has ethernet and Wifi built in, and can print from memory
devices too.

Works flawlessly with Kubuntu 10.04, without the need for a CD, shell
script or anything.

Got it from Staples. Seems they don't have it now, but the 8600A Plus seems
to be the successor
