[kwlug-disc] OT: Looking for a laptop technician

Hey guys,

Sorry for the OT.  I'm still new here so I don't know where to go for 
these sorts of things...

I have a laptop that I refurbished, but afterwards it's "flashing" on 
(spinning the fan once).  I've done all the usual checks (battery ok, 
charger ok, factory reset, technician's manual read).  I've refurbished 
dozens of laptops over the years, so I'm not a complete idiot, but I 
need help...

Can someone recommend a laptop technician?

I need someone to check over the motherboard to see if they can find the 
problem and fix it.  I'm guessing it's a diode, but really that's just a 
guess.  I do computers, not electronics.

I'm currently unemployed, so someone that works on a no-fix no-fee would 
be ideal.  This was supposed to be a surprise for my girlfriend, but the 
plan has gone very severely south... :-(
