You could try some of the mature multi-language IDEs that have XML/XSLT
support.
For example NetBeans is a very decent IDE, though startup time is a bit too
much given that it is written in Java. I have used it for PHP development
and it is good. It is in 12.04's repositories so installation is a breeze
if you are on Ubuntu LTS. And it is free.
And it does support XSLT. See here for a tutorial
