[kwlug-disc] Nexus7/Installation - Ubuntu Wiki

My impression (based on what people have said in videos and Q&As and not
much more): It's using the Android kernel and drivers, but not much more
from Android land.

My take: Nexus devices may very well run it fine. Handset manufacturers who
rolled their own kernel or are using binary blobs, not so much. A better
yardstick than "if it runs Android..." is probably "if you can install
Cyanogen, you can install Ubuntu."
