Two days ago Intel at Maker Fair Rome announces Intel Galileo board with
their new SoC X1000. http://newsroom.intel.com/docs/DOC-4413
- SoC is 400Mhz Pentium 32bit targeting microcontroller market hold by
ARM microcontroller's.
- Intel Galileo board is Arduino compatibile. Power of Arduino is in their
IDE. allowing rapid developing application in minutes for variety of ad-on
boards (Arduino shields).
Maybe KWLUG members can benefit from info that Intel Galileo also runs
Linux out of the box. You can even run Arduino and Linux applications
concurrently if you wish.
