[kwlug-disc] Where to fix an Acer A500 tablet?

We have a heat gun in Computer Recycling that we use for heatshrink. We don't really use it for reflowing, but I'm sure it could be used that way. It's a simple heat gun with no attachments. I've seen people attempt to reflow stuff putting foil on parts they didn't want reflowed.

I imagine Kwartzlab might have one too.

Yes, it helps a lot.

And convinces me more that it is not something I can do/try.

If someone has one, and willing to spare some time to try helping with
this. I appreciate it very much. The tablet is not working and will be
on Kijiji for parts. So the heat gun method cannot make it worse.
