[kwlug-disc] WD partnering with ownCloud

Although I was a member of ownCloud Insiders, I never logged on -- the
site was too Javascrippled for my tastes. And now ownCloud Insiders
has been discontinued, and I doubt that making a KWLUG presentation is
enough to qualify for the prototype.

I did just install ownCloud 8.2.1, which actually looks much the same
from the (Javascrippled!) WebUI. Seems much more flexible for storage
options underneath, tho. F'rinstance, encrypted remote storage -- keep
the ownCloud server in your own network (with encryption keys under
your control), but store the actual encrypted files on Google Drive or
Microsoft OneDrive or some other commercial storage provider which
only sees encrypted blobs.

But there's still no public calendar sharing (one of my needs), and
the only collaborative editing is for documents (no spreadsheets or
presentations or image editing).  So, not enough new stuff for another
presentation.
