Linux Software Developer

On behalf of our client in the Video Management Software sector,
Procom KW is searching for a Linux Software Developer. This is your
chance to work with a multitude of leading edge tools, technologies
and platforms including - cloud, web and mobile. This is an action

Job Details
Reporting to the Engineering VP, the Linux Software Developer is
responsible for the development and design of Video Management
Software functionality on Linux platforms.

Mandatory Skills
•	Strong Linux development/hacking experience (5+ years)
•	Software design experience
•	8+ years C/C++ development
•	2 years concurrency/multi-threaded programming
•	2 years distributed systems/network programming
•	Bachelor degree in computer science (or similar)
•	Experience writing readable, reusable, and refactorable code
•	Desire to be a strong member of an even stronger team

Nice to have Skills
•	Experience working with streaming video/codecs/cameras
•	Experience with HTML 5.0, gstreamer, REST, JavaScript
•	Experience with cross-platform development / yocto
•	Mobile device interoperation (Android, iPhone/iPad)
•	Mono/C# experience (concurrency/sockets)
•	Strong familiarity with open source solutions
•	Database/SQL problem solving
•	Web service development experience
•	Experience with source control (git, Subversion)
•	Experience with Eclipse, gcc tool chain, Jenkins
