Bricscad is an excellent Autodesk command compatible Linux CAD 
alternative to Autodesk. It is also available for windows and MAC.
Bricscad is NOT free but the maker space maybe able to obtain free 
yearly educational licenses.

I / we use the educational version of Bricscad software here in UofW  on 
all 3 platforms.
