Profuse apologies then Paul - it never occurred to me that in making the necessary changes you did (to send from the list not the original sender), you would trigger what I would consider a bug. I'm guessing the link you gave to the patch is the bug in question.

- from that link, evidently the entire mailman world is struggling with figuring out what the appropriate thing to do is. Which is to say, when they solve it and our mailman gets updated, we'll all come along for that ride. Until then, we'll all have to live with things, everyone coping as best they can.

- one way of doing this as already suggested is to remain Yahoo unfriendly, and living with it. More than one here seems OK with that.

-- I note, for example, that I don't receive my own messages, coming from Yahoo, even with the change(s) to send from the list rather than the individual. So something is still 'broken'.

Paul, I'm guessing all you changed on kwlug-disc is "Hide the sender of a message, replacing it with the list address (Removes From, Sender and Reply-To fields)", from No to Yes? (anonymous_list)

Poking around a mailman, I see "Action to take when anyone posts to the list from a domain with a DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy" under Privacy / Sender Filters (dmarc_moderation_action) - perhaps it should be 'Munge From'?

I see on https://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/ that version 2.1.21 was released on 28-Feb-2016. Presumably any mailman changes to address this issue (which is not unique to kwlug) will involve updating mailman. Don't know how onerous doing so would be.
