Let's talk FNIR !
We will present an alternative to EEG technology called FNIR, which
stands for Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy, an approach that
enables the continuous, noninvasive and safe monitoring of changes in
blood oxygenation and blood volume related to human brain function.
For this special event, Benjamin Tam from NeurotechX [Vancouver] will
also introduce to the KW members a new project called the 'OpenFNIR'.

Note about The Tannery District and Communitech:
Please try to park at The Tannery District's Main Public Parking Lot
(free) at 151 Charles Street West.  If you cannot find a spot, you may
have to park around the building or further away due to the current
constructions both Downtown and at the building itself.
To check-in, please take the elevators in the main lobby of the
Tannery to the second floor reception and let them know you’re here
for NEUROTECHX and ask for Francois, Sandi or Laura.
We’ll come get you and take you to the Communitech's 3rd floor
Training Room.
We’ll have some signage from there.
Due to the on-going construction and heavy security in the building,
we will only be able to remain on the 3rd floor until 6:00 pm.  That
being said, Balzac Coffee or Firkins Eatery in The Tannery will be
open and we can extend our meeting there, at least for further social
interactions.
