yes, I think I remember reading those a while ago.

Figuring out how to eliminate the barriers to people or organizations 
giving money is definitely a hard problem. And way outside of writing 
software.

Feels like there could be a guide to:
* picking a donation model
* picking a business model (probably providing some service)
* how to apply for funding through FLOSS foundations or other bodies
