[kwlug-disc] Python 2 vs Python 3

I recall quite a commotion when Python 3 came out, but none of it 
mattered to me at the time, so I paid it no attention.


Now that I've dipped my toe in Python (v2) I'm looking to use a proper IDE.

KDevelop to the rescue. Except it debugs only Python 3 code.


So... began porting to Python 3. Almost done, except for threading.


But I'm questioning myself it's the right move.


So, I turn to the illustrious KWLUG community for any input on the pros 
& cons of Python 3 vs Python 2.
