The SVGs are using "Arial Black".
Rendering would depend fonts installed, fallbacks configured, defaults, and
preferences (likely including biases from both fontconfig and web browser
in there, as well). I get a blocky text that is consistent between both
Chrome and Firefox, and looks like neither of Bob's screenshots.
I don't have the MS fonts installed, but I do have the following, which
looks somewhat like you'd expect Arial Black to:
$ fc-match "Arial Black"
ArchivoBlack.ttf: "Archivo Black" "Regular"

The logo is an SVG file, but the text is just text, not yet traced to
paths. This 1/2 of the markup for the letter X, for example:
<textxml:space="preserve"style="font-style:normal;font-variant:normal;font-weight:normal;font-stretch:normal;font-size:200px;font-family:'Arial
Black';-inkscape-font-specification:'Arial
Black';fill:#000000;fill-opacity:1;stroke:none"x="560"y="853.50507"id="text3489"><tspansodipodi:role="line"id="tspan3491"x="560"y="853.50507">X</tspan></text>
