[kwlug-disc] DNS Resource Record format question

Greetings,

An obscure question that I'm struggling with...

I'm writing a not-fully-functional DNS server and it's working for A and 
MX records, but not for TXT records.


RFC 1035 and other documents indicate the RData field should be ASCII 
text with the rest of the record the same format as A or MX.


Cannot make it work though.


Does anyone on this list have any light to shed on the issue?
