[kwlug-disc] Should kwlug-disc archives be private?

Hi,
I'm new here but I figured I'd send my input, too.
I agree that openness and transparency are major FOSS goals,
but privacy also is.
I would say we can not close this list because administrative
concerns are discussed on it, for example this concern now. It
would go against openness.
I agree that mailing list archives accessible to Duckduckgo or
Google are not as useful as they used to be. I also don't
really want the details of my name, what city I live in, which
computer and software I use to be published on the WWW forever.
I would be okay with the help list being public or private. I
would also be okay with further mailing lists being private or
public, as long as they are not administrative or managerial in
nature.
Tom
