[kwlug-disc] Cloning smaller to larger SSDs (Clonezilla/Gparted)

I usually take the lazy/easy/trouble-free route with things like this:
dd the old drive onto the new drive
The new drive will boot and run without issue.
Then use (g)parted to build one/many partitions on the unused drive space.
Use a new partition as your /home.
For bonus points, partition the unused drive space and feed it to ZFS to
build a pool.
Build and mount as many filesystems there are you want - with data
protection, snapshots...
Downside it that the space of the original /home is "lost".
There are plenty of ways to make it useful...
