[kwlug-disc] Photo Managment

Hello everyone,

I am looking for suggestions or ideas on how to manage photos.

Currently I have a FreeNAS box with about 250GB of pictures (41,000 files),
semi-organized into folders, but with the date stamps all being accurate,
from what I can tell.

I'd like some way to re-organize all the pictures, by date, and be able to
add a description in the exif information.  I know I could probably create
a shell script to move the pictures around, but I was hoping there'd be
some Open Source management system that can help me do it.


Any help would be appreciated.
