There is Simple Screen Recorder.
apt install simplescreenrecorder
According to reviews, it can record a single window and has some more
features.
I installed it for a screen cast that I planned to do, but have not done
yet.
I guess I'll try and use Openshot to edit the video later, although

I am no expert on video editing, but found that Openshot is usable for
simple editing.
