My earlier post was not to discourage this presentation, but to clarify
that I don't think Debian style repos are obsolete. :-)

I'm interested too.  I make use of docker pretty regularly, and I see
these tools as just variations on the same technology (cgroups) with
different wrapping.  Would be nice to hear a high level summary
of pros and cons.

Indeed, sometimes there's no alternative.  From a sysadmin point of view,
it's an added maintenance burden.  But from a dev point of view, it's just
another dependency.  Some projects provide their own debian-style repos,
such as docker and mongodb, which is a nice compromise.
