[kwlug-disc] Self-hosted image hosting

I am looking for a program that has the following features:

- Allows login using a username and password (basic auth using
  .htpassd is okay)
- Allows people to upload photos using a web interface
- Allows people to see those photos via the web interface
- Preferably well maintained
- Has access control so that people not logged in cannot see the
  photos

What should I consider? I do not want a full-blown CMS if I do not
need one.
