[kwlug-disc] KWLUG collective's opinion on obsidian.md

My use case is just vaults mapped to existing directory structures on my local computer. Anything created by obsidian is a local file written in markdown. Maybe my use case is over simplified, but it's certainly a lot simpler and more efficient than its predecessor (mediawiki) and I don't feel stuck with it - I'd just need something that reads markdown. Just my opinion, but I haven't even looked for anything similar that is open source, I'd be open to suggestions since I don't currently use anything that requires sync and I'd rather an open source project.
