I just tried it.  It's worse than Slackware.  With Slackware, you log 
in, and there is instructions (on the console) to
     - partition your harddisk with fdisk or gdisk
     - run 'setup'.
With NixOS, you log in, and nothing.  No instruction whatsoever.
