[kwlug-disc] Hard Disk Drive for NVR

I am looking into upgrading my NVR to a larger disk.
The WD Purple series seems to fit the bill.
The 4TB version is not shingled (you can tell by the modest 64MB cache).

Some of the reviews on Amazon are terrible though regarding reliability.

Anyone using the WD Purple series, or other surveillance type hard disks on
a video recorder or a NAS?
