There seem to be a lot of new mini PCs that are based on
Intel's low power N100 CPU. Low power as in TDP of only
6W (that is about 10X lower than your regular desktop).
ARM is still low(er) power, but the perennial problem I
mentioned earlier still stands: no full support of machines
in upstream distros (Debian and Ubuntu).
Being regular x86, they are fully supported and don't need
specially built images that go stale after a couple of years
with no where to go after, making your machine obsolete.
