There are several sites like Piped, and most of them publish
their source.

For example, Invideous

On Android, there is an app called NewPipe which is also
a non-Google frontend for Youtube.

The issue is that your history, playlists, ...etc. are not
centralized and accessible from any device you use
(phone, tablet, PC).

Question: did you try to export your Playlist(s) from
Youtube, and import them in Piped? If that works, then
Piped may be a viable cross platform front end.
