There's an update to this video where he goes into further depth, 
looking at some analytics which show the page is *not* actually that 
fast, but has the appearance of being fast.

It uses a lot of JS to pre-fetch heaps of content on hovering over a 
link, so by the time a user clicks a link, download's nearly complete.

Interesting how the analytic tools sometimes do not reflect user 
experience. I think I saw it got a 61% on one of the metrics.



The "NextFaster" site he discusses is ridiculously fast too.

It actually takes up more of the video as it's so much faster than even 
McMaster-Carr's site.

Fascinating.
