[kwlug-disc] Ubuntu 24.04 help request

Via the website contact form, we received a message from somebody who
is looking for help getting back into their Ubuntu system after a
troublesome upgrade. They are now stuck at the terminal (not GUI)
login screen and say their credentials are not working. 

Would somebody be willing to help this person out? If so contact me
offlist and I will connect you two.
