I am able to request a password reminder, log in, and see my preferences at:

https://mail.kwlug.org/mailman/options/kwlug-disc_kwlug.org

Strangely, my setting for "Get password reminder email for this list?" 
is set to yes, but thankfully I never see these.  "?"



Anyway, sounds like you might need to bite the bullet and upgrade to 
Mailman3.

Should you choose to go that route and want any help with the 
labyrinthine process, I'd be happy to (try to) help.
