That's not actually bad.


It's "email" that needs to go sit in a corner for a time-out.


Sometimes I'm amazed that anything works at all, it's all so many layers 
of complexities atop kludges, evolving over decades to meet criteria 
that were unforeseen.


And email is one thing we all need and cannot really be replaced with 
something modern and sane.

The replacement tech many people are using are all proprietary and I'd 
expect a lot of pressure to make email v2 much less open.
