I'm curious on how one would implement such a thing?

i.e. how to reach people who aren't on a LUG mailing list, have a 
computer that they'd like to get a bit more life out of, but would 
probably freak out if some icons were rearranged?

I've often thought having a display unit somewhere - repair shop window 
on busy street, mall pop-up stall, wherever, showing some eye-catching 
things like Matrix rain screen saver, the good ol' desktop cube in 
action, etc. could get people to stop and look further.


Getting them to somehow install it though?  I dunno.



I'm sympathetic to the goals, but wonder how the implementation would work.
