Note that Mozilla is attempting to say this is no big deal: https://blog.mozilla.org/en/products/firefox/update-on-terms-of-use/
Having said that: despite some caveats as to the wisdom of this (see
for example https://vmst.io/@jalefkowit/114082845349499312) I do not
think awarding the Chrome rendering engine monopoly status on the web
is a good idea, so I still prefer to use Firefox and derivatives. Of
the Firefox mods I prefer LibreWolf: https://librewolf.net/ . I find
it is configured most closely to what I want in a web browser. It
comes with UBlock Origin pre-installed and I have Privacy Badger too.
I looked at other Firefox mods but the only thing I remember is that
PaleMoon is a bad idea as a daily driver. It has its place (namely
looking at ancient web interfaces on old routers/switches) but overall
is based on abandoned Firefox code and thus seems untrustworthy.
