For surveillance look at the WD Purple or equivalent drives, as they are
designed for use with NVRs to tolerate constant writes.
Then you could filter and archive your recordings to larger and
slower/cheaper drives.
I typically look on Reddit /r/homelabsales and filter with "CAN-ON" to see
local hardware.
