[kwlug-disc] Ubuntu includes "coreutils" rewritten in Rust

I have some tools in the garage that are completely covered in rust, does
that count?

I keep hearing rumours that Linus is on again/ off again about redoing much
of the core linux utils in Rust, but other than that, I know nothing.
