I had pipewire / wireplumber the whole time, really nothing much changed 
except rebooting into Wayland.


I seem to recall infrequent success by restarting pipewire & 
wireplumber; sometimes it seemed to work (from memory) but usually not.


Then I stumbled on that 3rd monitor disabling trick, and it worked 100% 
of the time.


So damned weird.

But yeah, maybe Wayland on KDE just behaves better with those services.


(But why, and how can X produce noisy audio - not on YouTube - when a 
3rd monitor is enabled?!?)
