Likely yellowjackets, not bees that you have.

This year, I had yellowjackets make a nest under a bbq shelf, under the
soffit at my house's front door and in the brickwork under a window sill at
my Wloo office. Sheesh.
Anyway, was irritated enough(and stung at the BBQ!) that I just got a few
bottles of this and sprayed the hell out of them, all gloved and
face-masked up. Did not check to see what that killer agent is, as I was
too PO'd to care much --

Worked a treat, scary fast, chemical smells went away after about 30
minutes.
I did extensive washing of the BBQ with a pressure washer and soap
afterwards as a just-in-case of over-spray to the top surfaces and the
cooking area.
